This Saturday when the Flames face Charleston Southern, it will be senior day for Liberty’s senior class. This year, to highlight the occasion, we are going to put a spotlight on one senior per day. There is only 7 days until senior day this Saturday, and there will be more than 7 seniors honored. So, we can’t highlight each and every senior, but we will be able to honor 7 of them.

Today, is Dexter Robbins day!

The Tennessee Ninja, as he’s affectionately referred to, has started all 9 games this season and played in 46 games in his career. The 5’11”, 225 pound Sevierville, Tennessee native was named captain for the 2016 season. Robbins surpassed the 100 career tackle mark in the game at SMU earlier this season. He’s also blocked a field goal in each of the past 2 games, including to seal Liberty’s overtime win against Gardner-Webb.

Congratulations Dexter and job well done on a fantastic career at Liberty!

I told most of the seniors, I’m dedicating this season to them because next year is my senior year. I don’t know how it feels to know that it’s my last year. I’m prepared. The next level’s not promised, but to actually realize your college career is going to come to the end, I just told the seniors, I will give my all to them.
