This Saturday when the Flames face Charleston Southern, it will be senior day for Liberty’s senior class. This year, to highlight the occasion, we are going to put a spotlight on one senior per day. There is only 7 days until senior day this Saturday, and there will be more than 7 seniors honored. So, we can’t highlight each and every senior, but we will be able to honor 7 of them.

Today, is Erwin Dessources day!

Erwin Dessources is a 6’1″, 235 pound senior from Randolph, Massachusetts where he attended Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School. Dessources has started 16 of the last 19 games at defensive end. He had a breakout season as a junior in 2015, as he finished the year ranked 4th in the country with 3 forced fumbles. Erwin had one of the best games of his career in Liberty’s playoff win over JMU in 2014 when he recorded 5 tackles and a tackle for loss. He recorded his 5th career fumble recovery in the season opener this year at Virginia Tech. Dessources has played in 40 career games and started 16.
