This Saturday when the Flames face Charleston Southern, it will be senior day for Liberty’s senior class. This year, to highlight the occasion, we are going to put a spotlight on one senior per day. There is only 7 days until senior day this Saturday, and there will be more than 7 seniors honored. So, we can’t highlight each and every senior, but we will be able to honor 7 of them.

Today, is Alpha Jalloh day!

Hailing from Annapolis Area Christian and New Carrollton, Maryland, Jalloh has started 20 consecutive games at safety, the longest, current start streak of all non-specialists. He currently ranks 3rd in the country with 3 fumble recoveries including a 71-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown against Virginia Tech. Jalloh has 37 tackles so far this season pushing his career tackle total over 100. He transferred to Liberty from Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Maryland. In one of his more memorable plays as a Flame, Jalloh returned the opening kickoff 72 yards in the FCS playoff game at Villanova, setting the Flames up for a touchdown when they took an early 7-0 lead.

Congratulations Alpha and job well done on a fantastic career at Liberty!

I go back to our 2014 year, my first year, playing well against North Carolina, getting my first Division I interception, and finishing the year with the ‘W’ against Coastal Carolina and going to the playoffs and winning against JMU…it’s a lot of great memories here. It went by very fast and I’m thankful for the opportunity I had.
