This Saturday when the Flames face Charleston Southern, it will be senior day for Liberty’s senior class. This year, to highlight the occasion, we are going to put a spotlight on one senior per day. There is only 7 days until senior day this Saturday, and there will be more than 7 seniors honored. So, we can’t highlight each and every senior, but we will be able to honor 7 of them.

Sunday – Aharown Campbell day
Monday – Erwin Dessources day
Tuesday – JaRon Greene day
Wednesday – Alpha Jalloh day

Today, is Nick Newman day!

The two time 2nd-team all-Big South selection at linebacker each of the past two seasons, Newman is Liberty’s active career tackles leader with 219. He’s coming off a Big South Player of the Week selection after recording 7 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 interception at Presbyterian. The 6’4″, 215 pound native of Gainesville, Virginia and Battlefield High School, Newman started his career at Liberty at safety before transitioning to linebacker prior to his sophomore season.
