Liberty’s much anticipated game against James Madison on Saturday, September 20 will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPNU, it was announced Monday.

The meeting, which is being dubbed by both programs as the Battle of the Blue Ridge, has already seen public single-game tickets be sold out. However, tickets can still be purchased via Liberty football season tickets or mini-plan ticket packages. Some tickets are also available on SeatGeek with prices starting at over $100.

The two teams have met 18 times on the gridiron previously, but they have not met in more than a decade. This will be the first time the two have met since both made the move up to the FBS level. The last time the two met was a 26-21 Liberty victory in the first round of the FCS Playoffs in Harrisonburg on November 29, 2014. The last time they met at Williams Stadium was in 2011 when JMU picked up a 27-24 victory.

Both teams are currently 1-1 this season with Liberty defeating Maine and losing to Jax State. The Dukes opened up the season with a win over Weber State before falling to Louisville this past Friday night. The Flames play at Bowling Green this weekend ahead of the showdown against the in-state foe, while JMU does not play again until they take on the Flames in Lynchburg.
