Liberty redshirt-senior running back Peytton Pickett has entered the transfer portal, as he announced on his personal twitter account.

The 5’8″, 220 pound running back is originally from Arlington, Texas where he attended Sam Houston High School. He began his collegiate career at UMass before transferring to Trinity Valley Community College where he rushed for 316 yards and 4 touchdowns on 66 carries during the 2017 season. Pickett then transferred to Liberty as the Flames began the FBS era in 2018.

In his first season with the Flames, Pickett carried the ball 110 times for 457 yards and 10 touchdowns. During his three seasons in the Liberty red, white, and blue, he rushed 225 times for 1,060 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Pickett will have one season of eligibility remaining following the NCAA’s decision to not count the 2020 season against players’ eligibility status. As a grad transfer, he will be immediately eligible.

Fellow senior running back Joshua Mack has not formally announced his intentions on returning for the 2021 campaign yet. If he does return, Mack will lead a Liberty running back group that includes Shedro Louis and Troy Henderson. The Flames also added Utah transfer running back TJ Green.

We continue to monitor Liberty’s senior class who are all eligible to return. You can keep up with that information here.
