RB Aldreakis Allen

After an exciting first practice, the players seemed to come with even more intensity in the second practice of the spring, despite a cold afternoon.

Here is some of what went on:
Defense

  • The defensive backfield has very been impressive thus far, and have set a high standard for the rest of the defense.
  • A lot of young faces are constantly rotating in at different positions, and the depth on defense looks solid.
  • With new holes to fill this year, lineman will definitely have their chances to move up the depth chart this season. These guys had the most chances to show their talent: Dominique Davis, Nolan Spicer, Jibrille Fewell, and Dylan Bowman.

Offense

  • It is evident that Josh Woodrum and Aldreakis Allen will be the centerpieces of the 2013 offense.
  • Both Woodrum and Allen seem to have taken on a leadership role.
  • Darrin Peterson really shined in this practice with some awesome grabs, he could be this year’s go to receiver.
  • There has been a lot of rotating of players on the line, trying to find the perfect combination to replace last year’s seniors. We will have a better idea of who is emerging when pads are added.
  • Malcolm Boyd was at practice, but did not participate in live plays.
