The junior guard also averaged 3.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.2 steals per game while shooting 41% from 3.

Coach McKay and the Flames have offered Darius McGhee. McGhee is a 5’9″ guard originally from Roxboro, North Carolina where he attended Roxboro, North Carolina. During the 2015-16 season, he averaged 36.4 points per game while shooting 53% from 3. He scored over 1,000 points during the season, becoming the first 1,000 point single-season scorer in state history. McGhee finished the year as one of the top scorers in the entire country, and had four 50 point games during the year.

Prior to the 2016-17 season, he transferred to Blue Ridge School in St. George, Virginia and reclassified to the class of 2018. This year, he’s averaging 16.3 points, 3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game for Blue Ridge who MaxPreps ranks as the #1 team in the state of Virginia. He also has offers from Campbell and High Point.

His scoring totals are nothing new. As a freshman, he averaged 21.6 points per game on 58% shooting. He also averaged 27 points per game during his sophomore season, a year that was shortened by a broken elbow and wrist.

Blue Ridge School is coached by Cade Lemcke who played at Virginia under former coach Pete Gillen. He was also an assistant at Longwood during the 2013-14 season.
