Liberty adds a commitment from Virginia Tech tight end transfer Zeke Wimbush. He commits shortly after taking a visit to campus in Lynchburg.
The 6’2″, 245 pound tight end appeared in 24 games over the past two seasons for the Hokies, primarily on special teams, and has two years of eligibility remaining. He also took an official visit earlier this week to Oregon State.
From Ashburn, Virginia and Stone Bridge High School, Wimbush played quarterback and tight end in high school where he had 17 receptions for 338 yards and 3 touchdowns as a senior and was a three-star recruit.
Wimbush is the 10th commitment for Liberty in the transfer portal and the second tight end, joining North Greenville transfer Breckan Kirby.
