Liberty became bowl eligible for a fourth straight season thanks to their win on Saturday over Gardner-Webb, 21-20. The Flames were expected to beat the FCS opponent by a much wider margin, but due to inconsistency on offense, the Runnin’ Bulldogs were able to keep things close. Liberty would score a touchdown in the fourth quarter after trailing, 20-14, early in the final period for the final margin. The Flames will play host to BRYU this coming Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and televised on ESPNU.
