On Tuesday, Liberty announced it’s Commencement, originally scheduled for May, has been rescheduled for Sept. 11-12. This comes on the heels of the COVID-19 pandemic and consequential executive orders banning large gatherings for the foreseeable future.

Liberty’s 2020 home football season is currently scheduled to begin on Saturday, Sept. 12 against North Carolina A&T.

All degree presentation ceremonies will be held on Friday, Sept. 11. The following day, in lieu of a main Commencement Ceremony, all graduates and their families are invited to celebrate the Class of 2020 at the Flames’ opening home football game, the university announced in a release.

All graduates will receive a free ticket to the game.
