PREVIEW

Liberty is back in action on Sunday afternoon to round out the Flames Feast Week where the men’s basketball team played four games in five days to open the 2020-21 season. Head coach Ritchie McKay’s squad will be looking for its third straight win over a Power Five opponent when the Flames tango with Jamie Dixon’s TCU Horned Frogs.

TCU advanced to Sunday’s Championship Game of the Hall of Fame Classic thanks to a 70-65 win over Tulsa as the Horned Frogs begin the season 2-0. TCU opened its season on Wednesday with a 69-45 win over Abilene Christian. Big man Kevin Samuel will be a handful for the Flames as the 6’11” junior pulled in 18 rebounds in Saturday’s win over Tulsa.

Dixon is in his fifth season in Fort Worth, Texas as the long time Pitt head coach helped lead the Horned Frogs to a 16-16 last season.
