This week’s ASOR Player of the Week goes to RB Peytton Pickett. After Liberty suffered their first loss last weekend to the NC State Wolfpack, Pickett and the Flames rebounded with a dominating performance on Friday over UMASS.

Pickett led the Flames in rushing against the Minutemen, as he ran for 125 yards and a score. Joshua Mack added another 109 yards rushing and a score, as the Flames ground game torched UMASS.

Pickett has been a vital part of what has been a lethal rushing attack for Liberty this season. After his performance Friday, Pickett has totaled 505 total yards rushing and 6 touchdowns on the season. He is averaging almost 6 yards a carry, as the Flames tend to utilize him in short yard situations.

Pickett and Flames football returns to action Saturday, as Liberty travels to Conway, South Carolina to face the ranked and unbeaten Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. Kickoff time and television coverage for the game is expected to be announced Sunday.
