Liberty did not play this past weekend in somewhat of a quasi-bye week as the Flames have transitioned to a midweek schedule for the next two contests. The Flames play at UTEP on Wednesday night this week, looking to recover from a 1-4 record to start the season. Is bowl eligibility in question? It certainly looks that way as the Flames will have to win five of its final seven games to reach bowl eligibility for a seventh straight year.

The Flames finished the 2024 campaign with an 8-4 record that included a loss to Buffalo in the Bahamas Bowl. It marked a sixth straight appearance in a bowl game. Liberty has now won eight or more games for the 15th season in program history, including six straight years.
