The 2020 NFL Draft concluded with Liberty’s Antonio Gandy-Golden becoming the first Flame to be drafted since 2014, but AGG won’t be the only former Flame getting an NFL shot.

Jessie Lemonier, Solomon Ajayi, Bejour Wilson, and Elijah Benton have each announced undrafted free agent deals. Lemonier is returning to California, where he played JUCO ball, with the Chargers while Ajayi and Benton have signed with the Cleveland Browns. Wilson has come to terms with the Arizona Cardinals.

Lemonier, Ajayi, and Wilson joined the Liberty program as Junior College transfers as the Flames made the move from the FCS ranks to the FBS.

Lemonier played in 25 games at Liberty, finishing with 29 tackles for loss and 20.5 sacks. The 6’3″, 240 pound defensive end was a nightmare for opposing offenses trying to keep him out of the backfield.

Ajayi had 165 tackles in 25 games, 2 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries and a touchdown. The 6’1″ 235 pound linebacker will join his brother Jay Ajayi who has carved out an NFL career at running back.

Wilson played in 22 games at cornerback for the Flames. He finished with 76 tackles and 6 interceptions.

Benton began his career at Liberty as a walk-on, now he’s in the NFL. He played in 23 games the past two seasons since Liberty made the move to the FBS. The 6’1″ safety had 85 tackles and 1 interception in 2019.
