College Football News recently released a list of the 25 most interesting players in college football for the 2020 season and Liberty running back Joshua Mack checks in at No. 19.

“Liberty takes on a higher profile as America’s fill-in game for several teams looking for a date,” CFN said. “The backfield is deep, but Mack has the upside to be a weekly problem. A star on the FCS level for Maine, he was part of a rotation last year with 774 yards and seven scores, and now he should be even better as he stays fresh with all the other backs in place.”

247Sports re-published the list and gave their own take on Mack and the others on the list:

“Nobody knew what to expect from Mack last season because he missed 2018 due to NCAA transfer rules. But Mack quickly made his name known, rushing for 792 yards and seven touchdowns. It was a solid start to his tenure at Liberty, but now we’ll wait and see if he can do it again and take another step forward, or if he regresses now that people have seen him at this level.”

Mack is Liberty’s leader in the running back room and expected to handle the bulk of the carries while Peytton Pickett and, possibly, Shedro Louis and Troy Henderson rotate in to alleviate some of the running back load.
