Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze was a special guest on Fox Sports Radio’s Outkick the Coverage show with host Clay Travis Monday morning. Freeze and Travis discussed a various array of topics in the close to 20 minute interview from his health scare during training camp, to the team’s ridiculous offensive numbers this weekend at UMass.

With Florida State head coach Willie Taggart getting fired on Sunday, Travis also asked Freeze what he would say if Florida State called him.

“I haven’t even given that any thought because I’m so happy where I’m at,” Freeze answered. “The people here have been so good to me. This program has never been to a bowl game. I like doing things that are firsts. I think we can build something very special here.”

“When this cycle starts,” Freeze continued, “It’s flattering if you hear your name involved. But, I’ve come to know my name gets thrown around a lot, I would just have to wait and see if anything like that is real. Certainly, it’s something that you always listen to, but Liberty has been incredible to me.”

Freeze and Liberty currently sit at 6-3 and just one win away from bowl eligibility. The Flames travel to Provo, Utah this week to face BYU at 7:30 eastern on ESPNU.
