In a three-person prediction panel predicting the winners of each 2026 conference tournament, ESPN’s Myron Medcalf, Jeff Borzello, and Joe Lunardi all made their picks for the 2026 CUSA Tournament. All three of them picked Liberty to cut down the nets in Huntsville for a second straight year.

On why Liberty will win, Medcalf said: “Liberty isn’t just a good offensive team; it is one of the best we’ve seen. Coach Ritchie McKay’s Flames could finish the season as the first Division I team to shoot 40% from three and 61% from inside the arc – both top six nationally – since at least 196-97, per KenPom.”

Liberty, as the No. 1 seed, will open CUSA Tournament play on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm ET at Propst Arena.

The entire CUSA Tournament will be played in Huntsville, Alabama at Propst Arena. The first round begins Tuesday night with No. 8 seed FIU and No. 9 seed Missouri State opening the tournament at 6:30 p.m. Following, No. 7 seed Jacksonville States faces No. 10 seed New Mexico State. The quarterfinals begin Wednesday night with two games while the other two quarterfinals will be played on Thursday. The semifinals get underway Friday afternoon while the championship game is scheduled for Saturday night on CBS Sports Network.
