Zachary is the highest rated recruit in school history and the first ESPN 300 recruit to sign with the Flames. He had offers from just about everyone in the country and is ranked by ESPN as a 4-star prospect. He finished his senior season with 21.5 sacks, 51 TFLs, and 55 QB hurries in just 10 games. He will graduate from Carrollton in May and join the program this summer.

Hampton was one of the early commitments in the class and he remains one of the jewels here on Signing Day. The North Carolina native had over 20 offers and threw for nearly 3,300 yards and 22 touchdowns during his junior season. Hampton will be a mid-year enrolle and take part in spring practice.

Austin chose Liberty over offers from the in-state FBS programs. He’s rated as one of the top rated signees in school history. As a junior last season, he recorded 33 receptions for 563 yards and 9 touchdowns to go along with a punt return for touchdown. Austin is also a mid-year enrollee. He had 30 total offers.

The Flames were able to get a surprise on Signing Day as the former Texas A&M commit has flipped to Liberty. When he announced his decommitment he said he would wait until the February signing date but that was until Liberty’s coaching staff got involved.

OL Harrison Hayes

Hayes was the very first commitment in the class and he is able to make it true all the way to signing day after committing back in April. He was a three year starter and 2020 preseason all-state.

Adair was another early commit, pledging to the Flames in June. He will be a mid-year enrollee as he will graduate from Kettle Run High School in Nokesville, VA.

Coming from Maryland, Boti chose Liberty over nearly 20 offers including Kent State and Ohio who were in his final 7 alongside the Flames and other FCS schools. He was a first team all-MIAA honoree.

Coutras was part of the 2020 signing class and he gray-shirted.

OL Mason Bundy

ASOR Story: Commitment

Bundy committed to Liberty back in the summer. In addition to the offers listed, he also got several P5 looks including Auburn, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Notre Dame. He helped Fannin to a perfect 8-0 record as a senior and to the program’s first playoff win since 1995.

LB Ahmad Walker

Walker de-committed to the Flames, but Freeze and his staff is able to persuade him to stay with Liberty as LU picks up another big addition to a position needing depth. He will be a mid-year enrollee. He helped Warner Robins win four regional titles and to an appearance in the state title game in 2019. He finished his junior season with 127 tackles, 22 TFLs and 14 sacks.

LB Rashaad Harding

Harding opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID and entered the transfer portal early on.  In 31 games played at ULM, he recorded 132 tackles, 12.5 TFLs, 4.5 sacks, 3 QBH, and 3 PBUs. He is immediately eligible has one season of eligibility remaining. He will be a mid-year enrollee. Harding was a 3-star recruit in the 2017 recruiting class. He also had offers from SMU, South Alabama, Tulane, and several FCS schools.

CB Amarian Williams

Williams chose the Flames early in the recruiting process for him back in the summer, committing before any other FBS programs could make a serious push. He finished his senior season with 16 PBUs and an interception.

The coaching staff is very high on Moore, a tight end prospect out of the JUCO ranks. He’s originally from Mississippi and spent the 2018 season at Mississippi Valley State where he caught 4 passes for 32 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2 games played before redshirting. He will be a mid-year enrollee. At Pearl River, Moore had 23 receptions for 370 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also had an offer from UAB.

S Jaylon Jimmerson

Jimmerson comes to Liberty from Incarnate Word and will have 3 seasons of eligibility remaining. The FCS program did not have a 2020 fall season and he will be immediately eligible. Liberty CB coach Ricky Hunley was the recruiting coordinator at Incarnate Word before coming to Liberty two seasons ago. His high school stats are impressive and he was a playmaker as a true freshman. Jimmerson was named a 2019 Hero Sports Freshman All-American as he finished third on the team with 55 tackles and a team leading 4 interceptions. He will be a mid-year enrollee.

RB TJ Green

Green played in 25 games at Utah over the past three seasons with a total of 9 carries for 258 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had an offer from New Mexico. Out of high school, Green chose Utah over offers from Oregon State, Boise State, Hawaii, and others. He averaged 9.2 yards per rush and 151.1 yards per game as a senior in high school.

Liberty has added former Washington State starting safety Skyler Thomas after he has transferred from the PAC-12 program. Thomas recorded 151 tackles and 6 interceptions in three seasons with Washington State. He will have one season of eligibility remaining.

DT Marquise Brunson

Liberty was able to flip Marquise Brunson from Louisiana-Monroe recently. The 3-star prospect committed to ULM in October, but he decided to decommit from the Warhawks just last week when the Flames came in at the last minute. He had a number of offers, including Charlotte, UConn, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Minnesota, NC State, Northwestern, Pitt, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin. In August, Brunson named a top 11 of JMU, NC State, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Maryland, Pitt, Minnesota, FIU, Connecticut and Old Dominion.
