For the first time in 12 years, Liberty has started the season 4-0 as the Flames have extended their overall winning streak to six games dating back to last season.

This week, Liberty is finding itself in a few different bowl projections. College Football News currently has the Flames pegged into the New Mexico Bowl against UTSA. This game is scheduled to be aired on ESPN at Dreamstyle Stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico. UTSA is currently 3-2 on the season.

ESPN’s Mark Schlabach and Kyle Bonagura are both currently projecting Liberty to make a repeat appearance in the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida. Bonagura has the Flames facing Western Michigan while Schlabach has Liberty against Miami (Ohio).

Liberty returns to action this Saturday against Syracuse in the Carrier Dome. Kickoff is scheduled for noon on ACC Regional Networks.
