On Thursday afternoon, Liberty picked up a commitment from 3-star linebacker Gabe Fuster over a final four of Virginia Tech, Florida Atlantic, and UMass.

Fuster is a 6-0″, 225 pound linebacker from Chesapeake, Virginia and Deep Creek High School. He is the 24th commitment in the class of 2020. He announced his commitment live from his high school Thursday afternoon.

Coach Hugh Freeze and his staff continue to make recruiting in the state of Virginia a huge priority, especially the fertile 757 area code. It started last year when Liberty picked up its first 4-star commitment in program history from Tayvion “Tank” Land who is currently seeing increased playing time as a true freshman.

Fuster is the 7th commitment from Virginia in the Class of 2020, joining Indian River’s Cam Hunter and Corey Lucas, Life Christian Academy’s Michael James, Jr., Abingdon’s Gage Bassham, Magna Vista’s Louis Taylor, and Jordan Bradford from Manassas.
