Despite being in between current head coaches, the Flames picked up a commitment from JUCO defensive tackle Devonte Lloyd.

The 6’2″, 305 pound prospect is from Senatobia, Mississippi where he attended Meridian High School. He’s currently at Northwest Mississippi Community College and had numerous offers including Bowling Green, FAU, Jacksonville State, Louisiana-Monroe, Troy, and Western Kentucky. He took his first official visit this past weekend at Liberty.

During his senior season of high school at Meridian, he amassed 61 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 13 QB hurries, and 9 sacks in 12 games. In 10 games played this season at NWCC, Lloyd had 28 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

He is the 10th commit in the class of 2019 and 2nd JUCO commit.
