Liberty football’s average home attendance was 18,371 in 2025, down from last year’s mark of 19,966 which was the second highest average attendance number in school history.

It also trails 2022, when the Flames averaged 20,954 fans for each home game. This continues a trend of increased average attendance since joining the FBS ranks. In 2018, Liberty averaged 16,282 fans each game. That number rose to 18,272 in 2019. Of course, the numbers were down in 2020 due to COVID restrictions, and in 2021 it was 17,608. In 2023, Liberty averaged 18,911 fans which ranks as the third highest average attendance number in school history and this year’s mark goes down as the fourth highest average attendance number in school history.

The Flames’ 2025 attendance number places Liberty in the 104th spot in average attendance in the FBS. That is down from last year when the Flames finished 95th nationally.
