According to multiple reports, UMass has canceled their fall football season and will attempt to play in the spring. Liberty was scheduled to host the Minutemen on Nov. 28, marking the 4th game of the 2020 season the Flames have lost.

Previously, Liberty has lost games against North Carolina A&T (Sept. 12), at Bowling Green (Oct. 3), and UConn (Oct. 31). The Flames now have just 8 games scheduled for the 2020 season.

UMass and UConn, both Independent schools, have canceled their seasons. They join Old Dominion and the MAC and Mountain West as FBS teams to cancel their fall 2020 schedule.
