Since Duke and I started FlamesNation less than a year ago, our goal and focus has always been to be the #1 source of news and information regarding Liberty University Athletics. We feel that during this time we have made great strides towards that goal, but still understand we have not realized our full potential.

Today, we make a great leap towards our goal.

Many of you are familiar with FlameFans.com. For the better part of the past decade FlameFans has been the online gathering place to discuss Liberty University athletics, life in and around Lynchburg, and to reconnect with former classmates. FlameFans has always been an integral part in strengthening the passion of Liberty University Athletics’ fan base.

Today, we announce the merger of FlamesNation and FlameFans.

To the FlameFans community, we have all worked diligently to ensure FlameFans maintains its current format and functionality through this merger. FlameFans will still be a place for you to gather and share your passion for Liberty University and its athletics program.

To the FlamesNation community, we are currently in the process of redeveloping the look and feel of LibertyFlamesNation.com to a more modern and user friendly website. Duke, myself, and our staff will still work tirelessly at bringing you all the most current and groundbreaking Liberty Flames news and information.

FlameFans administrator “Sly Fox” has issued this statement regarding the merger: “8 years after launching FlameFans, the site is ready to take it to the next level. Joining forces with FlamesNation allows the entire Liberty community to have one location where they can get their news and break it all down together. I am jazzed to be a part of the transition that will enhance the experience of LU fans on multiple platforms.”

We feel that by combining these two great communities, both will be strengthened and will flourish as we move forward.

All Liberty. All Day.
