Kenny Scott was named Defensive Player of the Week

Flames’ cornerback Kenny Scott was named the Defensive Player of the Week following his stellar performance against Old Dominion. Scott recorded five tackles, two interceptions, and a pass breakup. Both of his interceptions came in the 2nd half. Scott is the second Flame to be named player of the week this season. Punter Grant Bowden was named Special Teams player of the week following Liberty’s win over Monmouth on September 9th.

Gregg Storey commit
In case you missed it earlier this week, Liberty picked up a commitment from offensive lineman Gregg Storey. Storey is a 6’6″ 310 pound lineman from Cary, North Carolina. He is the 4th commitment of Liberty’s class of 2014 and the 2nd offensive lineman to commit.

Braxton Bonds commit
Not to be outdone, Liberty basketball picked up a commitment from Braxton Bonds last week. Bonds is a 6’1″ point guard from Nashville, Tennessee where he attends Christ Presbyterian Academy. Braxton is the nephew of former MLB slugger Barry Bonds.
