Former Liberty basketball head coach Jeff Meyer was inducted in the Taylor University Athletic Hall of Fame this past weekend. Meyer is a 1976 Taylor graduate, and he was Liberty’s head coach for 16 seasons from 1981-1997. He was the Flames’ head coach that successfully guided LU from NAIA to NCAA Division I.
Liberty is one of the last four in the FCS playoffs according to College Sports Madness. They have the Flames playing Illinois State in the first round with the winner advancing to take on Coastal Carolina.
