On Saturday afternoon, Coach Gill and the Flames picked up a commitment from local product Micah Glaize. Glaize is a 6’3″, 190 pound safety that attends Brookville High School in Lynchburg. He also has offers from Old Dominion, JMU, Delaware, Elon, and Norfolk State.

Glaize joins a class that includes a pair of 3-star prospects in quarterback Johnathan Bennett and wide receiver C.J. Yarbrough and kicker Jason Stricker.

He plays both wide receiver and safety for the Bees, and was named first-team all-state at wide receivers after hauling in 55 receptions for 1,108 yards and 14 touchdowns. His defensive effort also earned in all-state honors after collecting 34 solo tackles, 18 assisted tackles, eight pass deflections and five tackles for a loss.
