PREVIEW

The Liberty Flames return home after more than two weeks playing away from Liberty Arena as the Flames welcome Maryland Eastern-Shore to Lynchburg for the second time in three seasons. Head coach Ritchie McKay and the Flames will look to pick up a second straight win after returning to the win column on Tuesday night against Bethune-Cookman.

Maryland Eastern Shore is currently 2-3 on the season and are coming off a 66-55 loss at Big South member Campbell on Wednesday. The Hawks began the season with a 69-67 loss at Saint Joe’s and a 72-49 loss at Temple. They picked up their first two wins of the season beating non-Division I member Bryn Athyn (91-42) and Fordham, 75-73, in double overtime.

The Hawks did not play last season due to the COVID pandemic as they are under third year head coach Jason Craft. In his first season, Crafton led Maryland Eastern Shore to a 5-27 overall record and 4-12 mark in the MEAC.
