Liberty is one of a handful of schools to offer Nicholas Jones, as the Flames pulled the trigger on the Mississippi product in early May.

Jones is a 6’3″, 280 pound offensive tackle from Byhalia, Mississippi where he attended Byhalia High School. After completing his senior season, Jones signed with one of the premier Junior College football programs in the country in East Mississippi in Scooba, Mississippi.

EMCC was documented in the first two seasons of the Netflix series Last Chance U and is a five-time NJCAA National Champion.

Jones is a 3-star rated prospect according to 247 Sports and has offers from Liberty, Western Kentucky, UT Martin, Murray State, Alcorn State, and Nicholls State. Following his first season at EMCC, Jones was named second-team MACJC All-North Division.

The December graduate says he communicates with Liberty offensive line coach Sam Gregg and defensive line coach Josh Aldridge, and that he hears from all the schools that have offered him equally.
