On Friday, Liberty picked up its second commitment in the class of 2023, this one coming from Jeremiah Shack.

Shack is a 6’3″, 190 pound wide receiver from Jacksonville, Florida where he attends Mandarin High School. He is a three-star rated prospect who also had offers from Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Georgia, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, Mississippi State, South Florida, UCF, West Virginia, and others.

His current rating of .8619 by 247Sports Composite rating would be the fourth highest in LIberty football program history, rating just behind current Liberty defensive lineman Khristian Zachary wh ois the highest rated recruit in school history.

He continues the line of Jacksonville, Florida and Mandarin High products to make their way to Lynchburg. Current Liberty wide receiver Demario Douglas and linebacker Jerome Jolly, Jr. each excelled at Mandarin prior to making their way onto the Flames’ roster. Douglas and Jolly each helped lead Mandarin to the 2018 8A Florida State Championship.

Shack joins Quentin Thomas, a 6’0″ reciever from McDonough, Georgia, as early commitments in the Class of 2023 for Liberty. Thomas committed to Liberty last week over numerous offers including Arkansas, Boston College, Duke, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Georgia State, West Virginia, and Vanderbilt.
