Liberty picked up a second commitment following this past weekend’s big official visitors as Juawan Treadwell has verballed to the Flames.

Treadwell is the younger brother of former Ole Miss and current NFL WR Laquon Treadwell. Juawan is a 6’0″, 175 3-star prospect who is currently at Independence Community College and is originally from Crete, Illinois. The CB prospect has offers from Akron, ODU, SMU, South Alabama, Southern Miss, and Temple, and he is a 3-star rated prospect according to 247Sports.

Out of high school, he had numerous offers as well, including Ball State, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Illinois, Miami (OH), Minnesota, Toledo, and Western Michigan as he was rated a 2-star prospect. His older brother, Laquon, played for Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss.

This past season, Juawan Treadwell recorded 57 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and 1.5 tackles for loss in 10 games. Joining Durrell Johnson and Marcus Haskins who have also committed this week, Treadwell becomes the 21st verbal commit in the class of 2020 as the Flames look to close it out in the next couple of weeks with a full class of 25.
