Liberty redshirt-senior offensive lineman Maisen Knight has entered the transfer portal.

The 6’4″, 300 pound offensive lineman is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. He transferred to Liberty prior to the start of the 2019 season from Ventura College. Fighting through a shoulder injury, Knight played in just 3 games as a reserve lineman in 2019. This season, Knight played in all 11 games, primarily on special teams units.

Knight joins several seniors who have entered the transfer portal recently including tight end Chris Barrett, running back Peytton Pickett, and quarterback Chris Ferguson as news trickles out from the seniors who will have one more season of eligibility following the NCAA’s ruling to not count the 2020 campaign against anyone’s eligibility.

Knight is the first of several senior offensive linemen that there has been official news on; however, indications are that both Damian Bounds and Thomas Sargeant will return. No official word yet from Bryce Mathews and Tristan Schultz.

We continue to monitor Liberty’s senior class who are all eligible to return. You can keep up with that information here.
