Liberty has offered New Mexico State transfer linebacker Devin Richardson. The 6’3″, 237 pound linebacker was a freshman All-American in 2019 for the Aggies and is now looking for a new home.

Flames’ head coach Hugh Freeze has recently said he would be open to taking another linebacker if the right one comes along. Since entering the portal, Richardson has picked up offers from Louisiana-Monroe, Texas State, North Alabama, and Eastern Kentucky.

In his freshman season in 2019, Richardson recorded 60 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and one PBU and he was the first Aggie in school history to be named a Freshman All-American. In 2020, he played in just one game, recording 8 tackles before opting out of the remainder of the season.

Out of Klein High School in Spring, Texas, Richardson was a three-star rated prospect by 247Sports and chose NMSU over offers from New Mexico, Utah, and Southern.
