Liberty announced on Friday that all five home football games to be played at Williams Stadium in the altered 2020 season will kickoff at 1 p.m.

This is a shift from the previously announced game times that have traditionally been at 6 p.m. early in the season and then 2 p.m. later in the season.

Liberty will play its home opener against Florida International on Sept. 26. Other scheduled home games are against North Alabama on Oct. 3, Louisiana-Monroe on Oct. 10, Southern Miss on Oct. 24, and Western Carolina on Nov. 14.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic and government restrictions within the Commonwealth of Virginia, Liberty will only permit 1,000 fans into home games to begin the season with a possibility of the capacity increasing later in the season.

The Flames are scheduled to open the season in just two weeks on the road at Western Kentucky on Sept. 19.
