After a one year hiatus, Liberty football hopes to get back to a bowl game in 2026. Jamey Chadwell is set to lead the Flames in his fourth season as head coach. The Flames won just four games last season, ending a streak of 6+ wins every year since 2006. Will Liberty be able to get back to that mark this fall?

Brad Crawford of CBS Sports recently updated his 2026 bowl projections and has the Flames missing bowl season for a second straight year.

Brett McMurphy of On3 Sports has Liberty projected for a bowl game this season, advancing to the brand new Puerto Rico Bowl against Ohio. The Puerto Rico Bowl is planned to be played in Bayamon, Puerto Rico at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium. This bowl game was just announced earlier this month.
