Liberty’s home opener on Saturday afternoon against Florida International has been flexed from ESPN3 to ESPNU, as the Flames will play on the national network for the second straight week. The game will still kickoff at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

Liberty opened the season this past Saturday with a win on ESPNU at Western Kentucky, 30-24, while FIU will be making their season debut.

The Flames have not had a home game on a linear ESPN network since Nov. 19, 2015 when Liberty, then an FCS member, defeated #4 Coastal Carolina, 24-21, in the season finale on ESPNEWS in front of a crowd of 18,995. Saturday’s game against FIU will have attendance capped at 1,000 due to government requirements in Virginia amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
