We are entering the final few days of the regular season as the the 2026 men’s basketball Conference USA Tournament which, will be played in Huntsville, Alabama beginning March 10, is just around the corner.

Liberty has clinched the outright regular season to the for a second straight season and secured the No. 1 seed in the CUSA Tournament. Still, several teams are fighting for a positioning within the conference standings as only the top 10 teams will advance to the tournament in Huntsville.

Here’s a look at the current standings:

And here’s how the conference tournament would look if the season ended today:

With Liberty locked in as the 1-seed, it looks pretty certain that Sam Houston will be the 2-seed. A top two seed is a good spot to be, as those teams play a team that had to play in the opening round the night before, and, teams that play in the quarterfinals on Wednesday get a day off before the semifinal round on Friday.  Liberty would currently play the winner of 8-seed FIU and 9-seed Missouri State first round game on Wednesday with the winner of that contest advancing to Friday’s semifinal against the winner of #4 Kennesaw State and #5 Jax State. Currently, UTEP and Delaware would miss the CUSA Tournament.
