The Flames Rising NIL Collective is a fund created to manage the new landscape of funding opportunities for athletes. Combining financial resources of boosters, donors, and fans, and distributing those funds to athletes in order to have the most impact for Flames Athletics.
College athletics is rapidly changing. Athletes are now able to be compensate for the name, image, and likeness (NIL). Flames Rising is an initiative launched by Liberty alumni, donors, fans, and former athletes designed to help facilitate NIL opportunities for Liberty student athletes in a safe and compliant way. Flames Rising provides fans with a platform to compensate current Liberty student athletes for the use of their name, image, and likeness. Flames Rising is not affiliated with Liberty athletics or Liberty University.
Flames Rising serves as a support and facilitating system for Liberty in the NIL era so that current student athletes can be compensated for the use of their name, image, and likeness. Flames Rising was formed to handle contributions from alumni and fans and provide a platform for NIL opportunities at Liberty.
Unless otherwise directed, the funds will go into a general fund benefiting all Flames Sports. The fund will be managed by an advisory committee that will follow charter guidelines to direct the funds in order to have the most impact for Liberty Athletics.
