In a four-person prediction panel predicting the winners of each 2021 conference tournament, ESPN’s Myron Medcalf, Jeff Borzello, John Gasaway, and Joe Lunardi all made their picks for the 2022 ASUN Tournament.

Two of the four (Borzello and Lunardi) picked Liberty to win the ASUN for a fourth consecutive season. Medcalf picked Jacksonville State, who has home court throughout the tournament, to win, while Gasaway selected one of the hottest teams in the league to cut down the nets next Tuesday in the Jacksonville Dolphins.

Liberty, fresh off a win against Kennesaw State on Saturday that secured the No. 1 seed in the East Division, will open ASUN Tournament play on Thursday night at 7 pm at Liberty Arena. The Flames, who received a first round bye, will play the winner of Lipscomb-North Florida.

Jacksonville State, the No. 1 seed in the West Division, will play the winner of Kennesaw State and Eastern Kentucky in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Jacksonville, the No. 2 seed in the East, will play the winner of Central Arkansas and Stetson. If the top four seeds advance to the semifinals, the Dolphins and Gamecocks will meet while Liberty will play the 2-seed from the West, Bellarmine.

The entire ASUN Tournament will be played on campus sites as the higher seeds each play on their home court every game. All first round games will be played on Tuesday. The quarterfinals get underway Thursday, while the semifinals will be played on Saturday. The championship game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8 at 5 pm on ESPN.
