Former Liberty wide receiver Demario Douglas has had a terrific start to his NFL career this year as a rookie.

Douglas, a 6th round NFL Draft pick by the Patriots in the 2023 NFL Draft, has played in nine games for New England this season, missing one due to a concussion.

The 5’8″, 192 pound Douglas has 30 receptions on 46 targets for 361 yards and a long of 42. He also has 4 carries for 29 yards. Serving as the team’s primary punt returner, Douglas has 8 returns for 47 yards.

Each of the last two games, Douglas has been the Patriots’ leading receiver as he continues to impress and see his production increase.

Last Sunday, playing in Germany against the Indianapolis Colts, Douglas had a team leading 6 receptions for 84 yards. The previous week against the Washington Commanders, Douglas had 5 receptions for a team-leading 55 yards.

Following an open date this past weekend, Douglas and the Patriots return to action on Sunday, November 26 at the New York Giants. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
