Conference USA media day is Tuesday, July 25, and when the 9 league members descend on Arlington, Texas, “Talking Season” for the league officially kicks off.

You may have missed it on Friday afternoon when the conference office released their preseason poll. ASOR contributors, as well as other media personalities that cover the respective teams in the conference have submitted their preseason ballots.

We have gathered all these ballots and put them together to unveil the ASOR Conference USA Preseason Poll, as voted on by 14 different people throughout the conference’s landscape.

Note: First-place votes received 9 points, second-place votes received 8 points, etc.

CUSA PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH

2. Liberty, 111 (1)
3. Middle Tennessee, 88
4. Louisiana Tech, 78
5. UTEP, 68
6. New Mexico State, 63
7. Sam Houston, 39
8. FIU, 34
9. Jacksonville State, 27

This is the year Western Kentucky is able to break through and win the CUSA Championship, according to the ASOR panel. The Hilltoppers, behind head coach Tyson Helton and quarterback Austin Reed garnered 13 of the 14 first-place votes with CUSA newcomer Liberty the only other team to receive a first-place vote.
