Conference USA released its 2025-26 men’s basketball conference schedule on Friday. With the league expanding to 12 schools this year with the additions of Delaware and Missouri State, the conference schedule is expanding to 20 games from 18 played last year and 16 played two years ago. Every one will face each league opponent once with while playing nine of the league members twice.
Liberty will face Middle Tennessee (away) and Missouri State (home) just once while meeting with the rest of the league’s members twice, both home and away.
The Flames will open league play on the road playing at FIU in Miami on Sunday, Dec. 28. After the New Year, Liberty will return home facing Kennesaw State on Friday, Jan. 2 and Jacksonville State on Sunday, Jan. 4 in what will be a CUSA Tournament Championship game rematch from this past March.
Liberty will then hit the road for a pair of games playing first at Louisiana Tech on Thursday, Jan. 8 before making the trek over to Sam Houston on Saturday, Jan. 10. The following week, the Flames will play just one game, hosting New Mexico State on Jan. 15. Then, the Flames travel to Western Kentucky on Wednesday, Jan. 21 before hosting CUSA newcomer Delaware on Saturday, Jan. 24.
Liberty’s lone meeting with Middle Tennessee will happen on Wednesday, Jan. 28 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Flames will then face the Delaware Blue Hens in Delaware on Wednesday, Feb. 4. The only meeting with CUSA newcomer Missouri State is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7 at Liberty Arena. Liberty will then make the trip out to the west, playing at New Mexico State on Wednesday, Feb. 11 and at UTEP on Saturday, Feb. 14.
The Flames return home to host FIU on Wednesday, Feb. 18 and Western Kentucky on Saturday, Feb. 21. Liberty’s final road swing of the regular season comes the following week as the Flames play at Kennesaw State on Thursday, Feb. 26 and at Jacksonville State on Saturday, Feb. 28. The regular season concludes in Lynchburg at Liberty Arena for the Flames by hosting Louisiana Tech on Wednesday, March 5 and Sam Houston on Friday, March 7.
For the third straight year, the 2026 Conference USA Basketball Championships will be hosted at Propst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama, March 10-14. The even twill take place in conjunction with the CUSA Women’s Basketball Championship.
