That tweet is from Coastal’s Athletic Director on Thursday night.
So, what happened with Sherard? Well, the first public statement linking Sherard to the Coastal job came via twitter from former Liberty and current Gardner-Webb head women’s basketball coach Rick Reeves.
Congratulations to Liberty Assistant Alexis Sherard who will be the new Head Coach at Coastal Carolina! You will be a good head coach!

Of course that tweet has since been deleted.
Shortly after we posted our article citing other sources were claiming Sherard was going to Coastal we were immediately notified that those reports were premature.

Jaida Williams was on Coastal’s campus on Thursday, and apparently received an offer and accepted.
