Former Liberty guard Brett Decker is transferring to Baylor, it has been reported by the Field of 68. Decker will play for the Bears in Texas for his junior season. Baylor was 17-17 this past season and 6-12 in Big 12 play, missing the NCAA Tournament for the first time under long time head coach Scott Drew since 2018.

Liberty guard Brett Decker is entering the transfer portal, according to multiple reports including Jonathan Givony of Draft Express. The 6’3″ guard from Elizabethtown, Kentucky has two years of eligibility remaining.
Decker exploded onto the scene this year for the Flames, leading the team in scoring at 16.9 points per game and was named first team all-CUSA following the season. He ranks second in the country shooting 47.1% from three while making 114 triples on the season, third in program history for a single season. Decker is also the top career three-point percentage shooter among all active Division I players. Decker started all 34 games on the season, playing 33.6 minutes per contest. He also averaged 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 49.9% from the field and 84.8% from the free throw line. Decker led the Flames with 11 20-point games and had a career high of 30 points in Liberty’s loss to Louisiana Tech on March 5. He reached double figure scoring in all but three games this season.
A year ago as a freshman, Decker appeared in 27 games. He averaged 4.3 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game while shooting 44.2% (23/52) from three and 91.7% from the free throw line. He scored 16 points on 5 of 8 shooting in 15 minutes of action in Liberty’s regular season finale at Western Kentucky. He scored a season high 18 points in the team’s home opener on Nov. 12 against Carolina University. Decker scored 8 points on 3 of 4 shooting and 2 of 3 from three in Liberty’s first round NCAA Tournament loss to Oregon.
