Player of the Week: Ryan Seiz has been everything Liberty could possibly hope for thus far. He had had four three hit games just this week, compiling 13 RBIs and going 13/21 from the plate, good enough to be named the NCBWA National Hitter of the Week on March 4th. Seiz now has a .462 average with a .769 slugging percentage and three home runs on the year. He also has looked good transitioning to second base so that Alex Close can be on first and Grauer at catcher.

I know I’ve already named Seiz POTW once this year, but there’s just no way to leave him off this week. This makes him Flames Nation’s Player of the Week two times in just three weeks of the season.

Upcoming: The Flames will host a three game series beginning tomorrow against Kent State (game 1, scheduled for today, was canceled due to weather) before then heading down to Elon and Charlotte for two weekday match ups. Here’s what the schedule looks like:

March 7 3:00 Kent State –canceled
March 8 1:00 Kent State
March 8 4:00 Kent State
March 9 1:00 Kent State
March 11 4:00 Elon
