It’s hard to believe but we have reached the final week of the regular season.

Power rankings are based on games played through February 24th.

1. Liberty 26-3, 12-2 #58
  1

The Flames have finally made a full recovery after inexplicably dropping consecutive games to North Florida and Stetson a month ago. Liberty has won 7 consecutive, including getting revenge against the Ospreys and Hatters, to take over sole possession of first place. We’ve know all season though, that this team will be judged by what it does in tournament play.

This week: 2/27 @ Kennesaw St, 2/29 @ Lipscomb

2. North Florida 19-11, 12-3 #158
  1

The Ospreys may be the only team that have a legitimate chance to dethrone the Flames. The way they shoot the three-ball would scare any team in America they face. Their schedule breaks perfect, as they finish the regular season on Thursday and won’t have to play again until the ASUN Tournament begins Tuesday. Everyone else will have a quick Saturday-Tuesday turnaround.

This week: 2/27 @ Stetson

3. Lipscomb 13-15, 8-7 #264
  1

Behind first year head coach Lennie Acuff and ASUN Player of the Year candidate Ahsan Asadullah, the Bisons have been playing as well as anyone in the league outside of the Flames and Ospreys. Lipscomb has won 6 out of their past 8 games with their only losses coming to Stetson and North Florida during that stretch. They seem to be destined for the 4-5 matchup in next week’s ASUN Tournament, and could give the Flames fits should the two square off in the semi’s.

This week: 2/29 vs Liberty

4. Stetson 15-14, 9-5 #292
  1

Stetson should still be able to squeeze out the 3-seed, but they might enter the conference tournament reeling. The Hatters have lost two straight, including a nearly 30-point blowout at Liberty on Saturday. Who’s next? North Florida.

This week: 2/27 vs North Florida, 2/29 vs Jacksonville

5. North Alabama 11-16, 6-8 #281
   no change

The Lions had dropped 5 straight before they recovered last time out against Kennesaw State. They’re currently in a three-way tie with Jacksonville and FGCU for 5th place.

This week: 2/27 vs NJIT, 2/29 @ FGCU

6. Jacksonville 13-16, 6-8 #236
   no change

The Dolphins could slip to 7th or 8th by time the ASUN Tournament begins, but they can be dangerous.

This week: 2/27 @ FGCU, 2/29 @ Stetson

7. FGCU 9-20, 6-8 #306
   no change

With two home games this week, FGCU could push its way into a tie for 4th place in the conference. Crazy to think after they started the season 3-13.

This week: 2/27 vs Jacksonville, 2/29 vs North Alabama

8. NJIT 8-19, 5-9 #308
   no change

Can NJIT get out of the dreaded 1-8 matchup? They have to win on the road to avoid it.

This week: 2/27 @ North Alabama, 2/29 @ Kennesaw St

9. Kennesaw State 1-26, 0-14 #351
   no change

The Owls are winless in ASUN play and have already been eliminated from the ASUN Tournament. Can they get off the snide and into the win column?

This week: 2/27 vs Liberty, 2/29 vs NJIT
