On Friday, I joined the Fast Lane with Ed Lane to discuss Liberty and realignment as well as the Flames’ football team moving forward after their bye week.
Our conversation centered around:
- How JMU (not Liberty) getting the call up to the American Conference has impacted the LU fan base.
- Where are the Liberty Flames in meeting the six points of criteria for joining the American Conference?
- Football is driving the boat in conference alignment. How crucial is it for the Liberty Flames to regain sustained football success?
- What are my thoughts on reports that the American could still look to add Liberty?
- The perception about Liberty from other college athletic programs especially in Conference USA?
- If the American increases their minimum roster spending threshold, does that positively impact the Liberty Flames case to potentially join that conference?
- What’s the level of optimism the Liberty Flames can continue the momentum from their five game winning streak?
