Liberty has added a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Malcolm Gaston, he announced Thursday. The commitment comes on the heels of his official visit at Liberty this past weekend where he witnessed the Flames defeat Maine in the 2025 season opener.
Gaston is a 6’5″, 345 pound offensive lineman from North Augusta High School and North Augusta, South Carolina. He is rated as a three-star prospect and as the 10th best prospect in the state of South Carolina, according to 247Sports. During his junior season last year, he played multiple positions for North Augusta, switching between left guard and tackle. He helped lead them to a 12-2 season, making it to the state semifinals before losing to South Florence.
Gaston has a long list of offers including Virginia Tech, Georgia, Charlotte, East Carolina, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Southern, North Carolina, and others. Early this year, he set a top four of Georgia, Florida, Florida State, and Virginia Tech.
He is the 21st commitment in the Class of 2026 for the Flames and the third offensive line commit joining Daniel Schiffert and Hunter Winn.
