Cole has indicated via twitter he has committed to play baseball for Liberty. This past season at Tallahassee Community College, Cole recorded 5 wins and 8 saves in 21 appearances. He gave up just 6 earned runs and 26 hits in 38.2 innings pitched, good for an ERA of 1.40. He also plays in the outfield.

Cole originally signed with the University of Memphis out of high school. He set his high school team’s record for wins, ERA, and strikeouts.

Cole’s father, Victor Cole Sr., played in the majors with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Royals, and Chicago Cubs.
